Since most of my opinion collumns and such appear at Dread Central these days, I thought it might be good to start posting links to them HERE. A few days ago I pissed a lot of people off with my rant about THE NEON DEMON, so we’ll start with THAT ONE. You can click the PHOTO ABOVE to jump to Dread and read it all, along with some of the feedback I got. In addition to those comments, I received no less than thirty-one angry emails from Nicolas Winding Refin fans, through The Express. I mean, wow. I guess when you hit the right nerve, people start paying attention to you, huh? Just FYI, I’ve long since stopped giving a shit what anyone thinks of my worthless opinions when it comes to this kind of thing, so I don’t ever read or respond to trollers and talk backers. I DO read the angry emails. They’re hilarious. But I don’t respond to them. So unless you happen to be a friend and/or you’re coming at me here at The Express in a civilized manner, do NOT expect a response to shit like “WTF?? REFIN RULES! FUCK YOUR STUPID HAIR!” Life’s too short for all that, you know? I do not invite debate from goons. In fact, I do not invite debate at all. I have shit to do.
Some of that shit had to do with promoting the FABIO FRIZZI concert tour, which started here in Austin a month ago. You can read my swell-and-awesome REVIEW of the first-ever live performance of his revised and expanded live score of THE BEYOND, by clicking this image right HERE:
This is a shot of Fabio performing in Austin, which I snapped myself from the front row of a gothic church. The show is an absolute must-watch experience, and I believe Fabio will be continuing his adventure with an East coast tour soon as well, so hot damn, huh??? I’ll be making some announcements soon about some Fabio related Fulci Comics projects as well. So KEEP IT HERE. And also stay tuned at eibonpress.com and Dread for all the awesome updates, death threats and end of the world predictions.
Also, I’ll have some updates and announcements here in a few minutes. For all five of you who still frequent the Express for the news of the world, I apologize for my lack of attention to the site and this blog. It can’t be helped. My mission these days is to reach the most people possible because I run a publishing business now. Plus, that business takes a LOT of my time and this whole blogging thing takes time too. Gotta flip a coin some days to determine where the time is best spent. But don’t worry, I’m not retiring The Express. We’ll keep it on the air. I still like it here. And we have some cool new surprises on the way!
